How the 4-Week Breakfast & Lunch Menu Works

Our breakfast and lunch menus follow the same 4-week rotation throughout the school year. Each week is assigned a color:

RED → BLUE → GREEN → PURPLE → then REPEAT

Parents, simply find the color for the current week and then read across that colored row to see what will be served Monday through Friday.

For example, during a Blue Week, students receive the breakfast choices shown in the blue row of the breakfast menu and the lunch choices shown in the blue row of the lunch menu.

First Semester

The rotation works like this:

So, for example, the week of September 14 is Green Week. Families would look at the green row for that week's breakfast and lunch selections.

Second Semester

When students return for second semester, the rotation starts again with Red Week beginning January 18.

After that, the colors continue in the same order:

Red → Blue → Green → Purple → Repeat

The meals listed in each colored row remain the same each time that color comes around unless the school announces a menu change.

Helpful reminder: The dates listed under “Cycle Dates” tell you which colored row to follow. All student meals are free, and fresh fruits and vegetables are offered daily. Menus are subject to change based on food availability.

Wellness Policy

The Wellness Policy was assessed and updated in January of 2026. It will be assessed and updated again in 2029. All stakeholders are welcome to participate in the assessment and update.

ECUEA participates in the Community Eligibility Program. All students are welcome to a free breakfast and free lunch every single school day.
