As a native of East Chicago, I am honored to give back to my community by continuing to serve the students and families of ECUEA. My entire educational career as been with the Academy as a general and Special Education teacher, Math Specialist and Assistant Principal. In 2014 I was promoted to lead this wonderful school as principal and in 2023 I earned my Educational Specialist degree from Indiana State University. I have earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Master's degree in Educational Leadership, both from Indiana University Northwest and consider myself a life-long learner.
With the excitement of each new school year, I hope to continue the great academic achievements and community pride that we have shared over the years. I anticipate a most successful school year as my team and I support the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students here at East Chicago Urban Enterprise Academy. Along with our staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at the Academy by continuing to build strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. I believe that communication and positive relationships are vital to the success of our school and as always, my door is open and I welcome your input.
